Photo Composition Website

The topic of this website was an assembly of photo composition rules and tips. Each page was centered around a different tip, plus a introductory home page. They all had one picture that was an example of the rule. Each photo we had to take ourselves, and each rule we researched ourselves as well. It includes a sidebar menu to easily access the rule you want to learn about or you can go through all of them at once with the "Previous" and :Next" buttons at the bottom of every page.

We started the project by making a table and researching some rules that we could use in the website. After we completed our research we picked a select few that we would add to our website.

I liked this project a lot because photography is a big part of my life and I was excited to be able to use some of my images. I also already have a great deal of knowledge on the subject of composition rules, so the research portion was pretty simple for me.

For the banner oat the top of every page is an image of a street sign with the words "Photo Composition" written on it. I took the image of the sign and photoshopped the words on top of the original name.

After we finished the original design and uploaded the site, we were taught how to create a responsive website. Responsive meaning that what the site looked like changed depending on the size of screen that the view is using. We did this by using media queries and adjusting where the menu was located. This creates a better experience for every user and allows more access from every device.
