Chill Pill Packaging

This project was centered around practical package design and introducing 3D tools in Illustrator. It needed to be a type of pill that did anything we wanted it to. My partner and I chose to create the Chill Pill.

The process started with learning all of the key components of a package design: dyeline, bleed, and glue flaps. We created a blank practice design with the instruction of our teacher, and then created this project with all of the necessary components.

We created to possible design for the box; one with a pattern and one with an image. The designs both included the logo, a description of the product, a set of nutrition facts, and a barcode. Then, we designed a label that would go on the bottle that would hold our pills. We learned how to use illustrator to create a 3D shape and place images onto the shape to make an example of our pill bottle and package.
