eComm Final Project Reflection

Purpose 

The purpose of the assignment was to be able to create an item that we could sell to people and then present it in many different ways. We made graphics like a coupon, ad, and the logos. We also made a commercial and an animation to depict the objects design and look. I learned a lot about teamwork throughout this process. I also learned even more in-depth concepts about each of the strands. 

Idea

Our final product was called Space Specs. They were telescopes in the form of glasses. Before finalizing our plan, we brainstormed for a couple days on ideas for a product. Courtney came up with the overall idea and then we all added ideas like the buttons for zooming, and the tips button.

Animation

I added the 3-D text to the animation. I learned a lot through that process, that I did not know before. Courtney designed the packaging very well and kept the space theme alive. Jorge did a very good job on the product design as well. Marco put the final animation together and did amazing at designing the scenes.

Video

During the video portion of the project it took us a while to elide that we wanted our commercial to appeal to all kinds of kids, and teachers as they are good for classroom activities. We wanted a slightly funny, but appealing commercial. Wanting to give off a feeling of fun and enjoyment, we added the end clip of Courtney, Jorge and Marco saying "We love Space Specs!". the final video that our group chose to use as our presentation commercial was mine, but combined Courtney and I's end cards.

Graphics

Courtney and I came up wight the logo design for Space Specs. We worked together to combine many ideas and concepts together. We had to find colors that worked well together and still gave off the technology feeling that we wanted. Courtney designed the banner as well, Jorge designed the ad, and Marco designed the coupon and Stellar Co. logo. I was the website designer. I added each graphic and video as we were finished with it. In the beginning I used the colors from our logo to base the website on. I feel like the website came together very well.
